When I design patterns, I try to design them with you in mind. I like to create things that make people feel comfortable and confident. Making this happen by myself in a studio is tricky, and while pattern testers are an invaluable part of the process, getting the pattern to a test worthy stage in a way that fits and flatters takes some guessing.
This year, Blueprints For Sewing will try a new approach to fine tuning the fit and style of a pattern: collaborating with the people who will someday sew it! With your help, I'll be able to see how a new design fits and looks in person on a wide variety of bodies, ages, and styles. I can then send a better, more polished and sizing inclusive pattern to testers around the world. I'm hoping that by working locally and globally with the sewing community, I can bring you the best patterns possible!

The Fit Party will take place at a secret location in Boston (T accessible & parking available) on Friday, August 4th at 7pm.

Space is limited, so I'll be giving out spots on a first-come first-serve basis until I have enough people of different sizes to participate. If you're not able to attend this time, you will be first on a wait list for future fit parties and in case a spot opens up last minute.
