Whether shopping in stores or sewing our own clothes, many of us struggle with fit!

This class will walk you through the process of custom fitting a pattern to your measurements. Learn how to measure yourself properly (and how to do it by yourself), determine your common fit issues and how to fix them, as well as techniques for  pattern alterations. Students will also learn how to make a muslin mock-up to further fine tune their fit.

The benefits of this class go far behind this project as students can use the techniques learned to help them get a great fit in all future sewing projects.

Materials:

• To the first class, please bring a sewing pattern you would like to work with and enough muslin to make your desired pattern (see envelope for yardage requirements).
• Your sewing kit
• Thread for sewing your muslin (any color, other than white: a great time to use up old thread spools and bobbins.)
