Boston Launch Party this Friday and other updates

After a whirlwind of a Thanksgiving, I'm gearing up for our Blueprints For Sewing release party at JP Knit & Stitch this Friday from 6-9pm. I'm planning to have Cabin samples on display and possible sneak peaks at future patterns. Attendees will receive 20% off if they buy Cabin and fabric to make it from. So exciting!

I'll also be teaching a Cabin workshop at JP Knit & Stitch in January and later at the Franklin Mill Store.

If you're on the Blueprints mailing list or follow us on Instagram, you'll know that Cabin is now available as a PDF pattern! You can learn more about it here.

While all things Cabin are going on, I've also been hard at work on the next two Blueprints patterns. The first will be released initially as a PDF, then later as a special edition printed pattern. I've decided to do it this way because the pattern itself has limited pieces and will lend itself well to the pdf format. I'm thinking of it as a 'bonus' pattern. It is a beginner level pattern with lots of room for embellishment. The 2nd pattern will be released as a printed pattern and eventually a PDF, like Cabin was. While I won't give away too much, this picture from my instagram give you a few hints about the next two patterns.

I hope to release both patterns in January and February, so I'll need to start testing the pattern and looking for illustrators next month. Would you like to test the next Blueprints pattern or perhaps do the cover illustration? I'm currently 'accepting applications' - aka emailing artist friends and sewing folks - so send an email over to info(at)blueprintsforsewing.com to throw your hat in the ring!
